does anybody know if it is possible to change the color of the lights on the temp ocntrols of their lexus?

i wanna change the color of my temp controls from green to white to match the cold cathode color of my main instrument cluster on my 1996 LS400. i took it apart to check it out and there are two kinds of bulbs one looks like 3mm led and the other 5mm led.

do you think i could just swap the current bulbs with some blue/white l.e.d.s? (seems too easy)
