Default GS audio upgrade, better to start with ML or non-ML spec

Hi all,

I'm about to purchase a 2005/2006 GS and have a questions regarding the ML system....

Most of them in the UK do not seem to have the ML system, only the GS300/450 SE-L models which are hard to come by. If I were to purchase one without the ML but with the Nav (most common spec over here!) would it be trickier to upgrade the stereo than buying one with ML already fitted? I'd retain the Nav unit of course but aim to replace speakers / sub / amp. Would i need any converters or anything? I have one of these Audison speaker to RCA converters at home, would this suffice or would I lose bluetooth/nav voice etc? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Connection...item20fd3bbfc0

Thanks

Ok I did a little more research for you here's the info I found. Non Ml systems are definitely simpler than ml. The non ml system is a 5 channel system. Front and rear doors have 6.5" with a tweeter wired in parallel. You will need to take speaker level inputs from the factory amp (in trunk on passenger side). I reccomend you get an LCQ-1 and from there the configuration is up to you. I wish I got the non ml now as I got a lot of work to do to sort out my configuration now.
