Hi. I recently replaced my cluster in my 97 5spd after a lot of researching, as all the people who usually modify and repair 92-96 ones told me that the best option was that - to replace with a known used one.
(my backlighting was completely out)
Replaced today, and good news first - the cluster works fine! Everything. I removed the bulbs for PNRD etc.
Bad news- when the lighting is turned on via the stalk , all the climate control and stereo turns off. Also there is no dimmer adjustment at all, everything is just on or off.
