I am tempted to use some 5 1/4" midbass driver in the stock door pods of my 93 gs300. I would have to use the stock amplifier to power them. Now would anyone have any info on the door pods ie. volume, tuning frequency? I wanted to use something pretty inexpensive from partsexpress but i don't know which speaker would work in the enclosure properly. Also could i just take the rca's from my clarion hu and splice into the wires going to the stock amplifier?

 

actually I just realized i can use my arc 2100. If i get a 4 ohm mid and parallel it with my components to get 2 ohms i'll get 180 rms per side.
