Default Navigation touch screen problem

My touch screen on my 2006 IS 250 goes off and on. It may stay off for a day or 2 and then come back on. But only comes back on for a short time. I am not sure if there is a short in the computer board or not. I had the whole system pulled out. We looked at the connect to the screen, and could not see a break in that connection. Put the system back, in and it worked for a while, but went back off. The touch screen problem all started when we accidently dropped a penny in the cigarette lighter, and it blew a fuse. We replaced the fuse and the cigarette lighter works. I don't think now there is any link between the cigarette lighter and touchscreen. I just think there maybe a short in the computer board. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can do? This unit controls the AC/heater, and more. I also have been looking for a used one, but they are not cheep. Any help is appreciated!....Tom

Is there anything to resetting the Navigation that is located in the trunk of the car?

Hi, Thomp. I took my car to Lexus dealership-they checked and advised me that the PROBLEM was battery voltage. It was too low. They re-set battery and now evetrything works. You may try it . Good luck. It sucks when your car is "sick".
