i currently have an eclipse head unit. is it ok to buy any brand name eq to use with this headunit or will there be compatibility problems. i read somewhere that alpine you have to use with alpine is this true??
what kind of eq are good uner 200 dollars with frnt, rear, sub
You should be able to use any EQ with any head unit, as long as they use rca inputs to hook up. E Bay has a ton of EQ's on there for under $200. I bought a new Kenwood 6042A EQ off of E Bay that I decided not to use. If your interested I will sell it to you for $120 shipped. It is a 1/2 din 9/11 band EQ, with F/R/and SUb output. If not, there are a ton of EQ's out there for descent prices. Good Luck!
Just realised I have one for sale also. Been laying around in my closet for a while now. http://www.arcaudio.com/pages/peqpg.htm#
This one should work. It also has an extra input for an mp3/md/whatever player. $120 f you want.
Your EQ is devided in frequency ranges. So basically if you want to play with sub, you use regulators up to 80hz, midbass is usually 80-150 and the rest is your tweets. So basically it would be exactly as you asked in a first line.
Did I explain it right? IM me, I was very bisy over weekend...should be better during weekdays...we can talk.
