Default how to replace nakamachi head unit??

so i searched high and low. i'm about to pick up a 99 sc 2jzgte swap and honestly i can't live without an mp3/divx player. is there anyway to simply replace the head unit? i don't feel like redoing the entire wiring in the car just for a working mp3 player. the car has a bad changer that only powers up.

thanks,
sid

Buy a metra head unit bracket (they sell single din and double din versions) DIY here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...ead-units.html

Install head unit: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...b-working.html

You can get a wiring harness for the head unit that directly plugs in to the existing harness but if you use the RCA plugs provided, you might get a hum through the speakers.

Honestly it's not too tough to install a headunit in an SC.

Go to a car stereo store. They should give you the one you need.
