I can speak on JBL MS-8 only.
Before I decided for that, during my research I found that configuration and tuning of both Cleansweep and 3sixty.3 seemed to be more complicated and involved that MS-8.
With MS-8, you play the CD, wear the supplied headset (with mic) and it'll walk you thru sitting at 2 or 4 different places in the car and that's pretty much it.
FYI - if I remember right, it uses a 30-band equalizer.
