New here question
Hey im in the process of getting a 98 Gs300 and i have a Kenwood TV headunit in my current car now a 95 supra and i want to put it in my lexus..I like to do my own work so i wont take it any place..could you guys help me out on how to get the stock radio out, and are there any amps and things that i would have to wire differently into my new radio..has any1 on here done this before?I am attaching a picture of wat the new head unit looks like maybe that will help better understand what im taling about

Welcome Mike. I'm moving your thread to the Lexus electronics section where all the stereo guru's hang out. I believe there are a couple of people with the head unit you have in their GS.
Your amp is behind the glove department box and is very easy to get to. Once you know how it is also very easy to get the stock radio out to.. here are the directions that VVT-i gave me:
Use a small flat head screw driver( tape it with tape, so it won't damage your interior) and pry on the side of the center vent. There're 4 clips holding the center vent.
Then do the same on the ashtray, but I find it easier just to pop the shifter cover( still 4 clips holding it). You have to put the car in N or another range to clear it. After that you will see 4-10mm bolt+1 clip holding the radio head unit.
I think there's some intruction in CL about this, but you have to do the search. Good luck.
