I don't like the built-in navigation for my 06 is250, so I'd like to get a VAISTech with video out and use my iPhone 4 for gps. But are there any navigation apps that have video out enabled (without having to jailbreak my phone)? I've heard MotionX GPS has video out enabled, so that would likely work with the VAISTech video out. But I don't like MotionX that much. I'd prefer Garmin or Navigon or TomTom. Anybody know if those apps can do video out?

 

i thought the ipod video out function block is mainly a problem of apple rather than apps themselves? i mean, the fact that if you jailbreak a phone (meaning like an attack on the ios itself) enable all video out without any changes in the apps, that sounds to me like the problem is ios?

 

Actually Apple enabled the video out function in iOS 4, but each app developer must enable the function in the app for it to work.

 

oh sorry you are talking about ios4 already, my bad. yes, after ios4 then it's up to the app.
