Default Alarm install. Cant find parking lights wire?

Hey folks

I have installed my viper alarm today.

But i cant find two wires. The first is the parking lights wire. According to the12volt.com it should be green and in the black connector at the steering colum. Well i cant find it?

http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...tail/1280.html

And then for remote start to work i need to wire up the neutral safety wire. I have removed the middle console and looked but cant find anything.

Anyone who can help me?

I have tried to search but cant find anything. Thank you very much.

are you asking about the wire to tap for the blinkers or the parking lights? your first post references the parking lights, then your second says blinkers...

do you have a meter? you can follow the turn signal switch to the inside of the steering column and the harness just plugs into the lever... meter the wires to find the right one for the parking lights...

as for the neutral safety switch, i usually only use those on MT... if your car is an AT, just ground that wire, since you will always have the car in Park when starting...

PARKING LIGHTS ( + ) GREEN (+) IN BLACK Plug @ STEERING COLUMN HARNESS

Hi thank you for your help.

I think i got a little confused on the english words. I'm from Denmark and not the beeest at spelling etc.

But yeah i would like the amber blinker lights to be activated. I dont have amber sidemarkers on my car. I know many US cars have that. Are those called the parking lights? Sorry i know it might sound stupid for you 8-)

As for the parking wire, yeah i will just ground it then.

Thank you.

Just like Kamlung stated

PARKING LIGHTS ( - ) GREEN/WHITE (-) IN BLACK Plug @ STEERING COLUMN HARNESS
PARKING LIGHTS ( + ) GREEN (+) IN BLACK Plug @ STEERING COLUMN HARNESS

Do you know if you need positive or negative parking lights? What does your unit supply? Does it have both?

I don't recommend you flash the turn signals. Stick to the parking lights.

Just ground the neutral safety wire. No need to actually find it at the shifter. The will not start unless it is in park or neutral anyway. There is already a built in neutral safety switch in the car.

Lastly, since it appears you are just blindly connecting wires to other wires based solely on wire color be prepared for damage to your car. Failure to meter wires (especially when done by a novice or untrained installer) almost definately leads to damage and fire. Please take your car to a certified installer.

Its not like im blindly connection wires. I think its because maybe there are differences in the wiring from us and europe models.

Why dont you recommend using the flash signals? That would be the best imo? Its easy to find the car quick if the amber flash lights blinks all the way around.

But thank you for your help. I will look some more into the wires and measure what i will be needing.
