A few months ago, I had the AVIC Z120bt (plus new amp, sub and speakers) installed in my '08 RX400 thanks to the many recommendations from CL members. Recently, I tested my AM/FM radio for the first time.

The FM radio is pretty good, but the AM reception is REALLY poor. I've done a little bit of research and found that there is an antenna adapter that may be needed (or perhaps the wrong antenna adapter was originally installed).

Has anyone else dealt with this issue and can offer advice? I'm gonna bring my vehicle back to the installer this weekend, but I don't have the highest confidence that they will know the best way to fix this problem. Any suggestions are welcome.

As a side note, other than the above issue, I love my AVIC Z120 and recommend it to anyone looking for a good Nav/bluetooth/audio player.
