Thumbs down Warrantech

So long story short, my JL Audio 300/2v2 Amplifier stopped working and I have been trying to get a warranty replacement from Warrantech for about 3 months now(I purchased an extended warranty from them when I bought this amplifier). I have been waiting 3 months now because they keep coming up with some problem with my warranty that takes 5 business days to correct and I find out that for some reason it was not corrected and I would have to wait ANOTHER 5 business days and so on.

Anyways, they have offered me a Pioneer GM-3400T amplifier that I can find online for about $80. I paid $275 for my JL Audio amplifier, WTF? I demanded for a brand new JL Audio 300/2v2 amplifier that I had originally purchased and I received a reply saying:
"We can not research and different unit without the features or functions that are missing from the unit we offered you. The unit being a different brand is a preference not a feature or function missing."

I am really lost on what I can do now. I replied back with an email saying:
RMS Power Range on the garbage Pioneer Amplifier: 120-150 Watts
RMS Power Range on the JL Audio Amplifier: 150-300 Watts

Can anyone help me out on what else I can do here?

report and then send into JL for repair. What's wrong with the amp? JL charges a flat fee for repair. If I remember correctly the dealer charge is ~$75 or so. Make good friends with someone at a JL dealer and see if they will just do a slight markup or let you pay the dealer pricing. Other wise...sorry that sucks.

This is why extended warranties should never be purchased. It's like owning a boat. It's simply a hole in the water where you throw money.

Chalk it up as a learning experience, move on, buy a new amp. It is just a small amp afterall.
