Default Single DIN or Double DIN?? Which to get

Hi, installing a headunit (1 din size) in my 93 sc300.. I also have a single DIN gauge pod to hold my 3 gauges (boost, Oil Pressure, and Wideband)
Do i purchase the single DIN and remove the pocket or do i buy the dual din?

You can make a one din guage pod out of metal or what I use once a thick lexan and run warning lights in the back side of it or paint it what ever color u want in the back ground and it will be shining in the front side looks hot .....
