Default Full Navigation Function in Motion Questions

Hi all,
New to the site, came this way because I've heard CL is the best resource for questions like this. Hopefully someone around these parts will be able to help me out. Admittedly, I don't currently own a Lexus, and used my mother's Lexus information in my profile. I'm hoping the information I gather here will help me in my quest to gain full control of all features of my Tundra's navigation system while the vehicle is in motion.

I've read a few things about speed pulse generators and firmware flashes, but it seems that nobody is completely happy with these options.

I understand Data System offers a piece that could help me get these features. I've also noticed that Tom's Racing (a Toyota subsidiary) also has an option for Toyota Lexus vehicles. Does anyone know if one of these Toyota/Tom's part numbers would work in my 2007 Tundra Limited with Denso/JBL E7013 Navigation (Toyota P/N 86120-0C220).

I'm a little **** when it comes to using Genuine Toyota Parts, so for that reason I would prefer to use one of the Tom's pieces.

The Tom's pieces can be found at their online shop here: http://tomsshop.net/

Another bonus is that the Tom's parts seem to be a little cheaper than what I can buy the Data System parts for.

Input from anyone familiar with these parts would be greatly appreciated!
