Vais MultiMediaLinQ VML - What hard drive are you using?
What hard drive are you using in your Vais MultiMediaLinQ VML? Is it really necessary to use the Seagate "Extreme Class" or "Rugged Class" Vais recommends? Has anyone had heat/cold related problems when not using the "Extreme Class" or "Rugged Class" drives?
Rugget model design to handle -20..+75 C (-4 .. 167 F)
Extreme model handles -30 .. +85C (-22 .. 185 F)
Standard Notebook 2.5" IDE HDD 0 .. +70 C. Based on your location you most likely can use standard notebook HDD, but nobody can guaranty that for sure. Do not forget HDD itself "produce" heat. Normal HDD operating temperature is 35..45C in the room environment.
