The speakers on my drivers side door keep going out but what I have found is that when the car is cold in the morning they aren't on but when I leave work and it has been hot outside they then are working. Also, one day last week they weren't working but I turned the radio off then back on and they were working. Do you think it is the amplifier or is it a wiring problem to the speakers. I really appreciate help on this. I made the mistake of taking it to the Lexus dealer only for them to say they think it is the amplifier but didn't know for sure (I paid for one hour of diagnostics). I see amplifiers on ebay and maybe I should buy one anyway. I only have 100,000 miles on my 2000 GS 400 - I only drive it in the summer months. Thanks!!!

 

Pretty much normal with all the GS/Nak/Pioneer systems. Some have tried taking apart the main radio unit and cleaning out the volume control ****. Others have needed new amps and or new radio units.

It's much worse with the Mark Levinson system!

 

I have a similar problem with my left speaker.

I will prob change the amp first to see if that works.

Very annoying problem though.
