Need a AC to DC converter.
Need a AC to DC converter to power a regular VCR to the cig jack. And no, I'm not doing it.
What do you recommend?

I think you mean a "DC to AC converter" or an "Power inverter" You want to run a standard 110 vac VCR in your car - right?? Your VCR doesn't draw that much (600 watts or less I'd say.) Your only option, instead of the cig jack is to hard wire it. Make sure you fuse the DC (if it isn't already) into the inverter - your don't want any fires - right ????

Power Inverter, they have one made by Tripplite for like $30, for single outlet. They have others for multipole outlets, but they are more $$.

It'll work fine for the VCR, I used it for my portable DVD player when I drove to WDW last Oct. Plugs into the cig lighter...its small too, a little smaller than a VHS tape.
