Default IPod and USB hookups.

I'm currently looking for a USB pen drive hookup for my 2007 es350 or I might hook up and IPod not sure. The 2 cost effect units that i've found are from grom. I've read some reviews about the Grom usb adapter where people have had troubles with it not booting all the time does anyone know if this has been fixed? Also has anyone used their IPod adaptor?

I think the boot up issue has been fixed with the latest firmware. I have a unit on my Prius and so far, the batting average has been very good, ie 1 miss for every 30 - 50 start ups maybe.

I have not used the ipod adapter coz of the following:

1. I'm pretty content with leaving the cheapo USB stick hidden
2. Music titles/artist displaying on the screen,
3. Ability to control the USB stick using the factory headunit/steering controls. It's awesome.

Which adapter did you use to permit the USB to be played through your stock system?

Will this work on a 2000 GS400?
