i have a first generation GS and i still have not got my antenna to go up and yet. i don't know which wire to wire it to?? any help please.

maybe the first gen. and second gen. is the same so if you second gen. have some suggestion please post

I'm taking a guess at what you are asking. You have installed an aftermarket sound system, and would like it to power your factory antenna? If the car was wired from the factory with a power antenna, then there should be wiring running from the antenna to the center console behind where the head unit goes. There should be two wires. One looks kinda like an RCA jack, that will plug in to the weird looking jack coming out of the back of your head unit, and this is the actual antenna lead. The other lead should be a small gauge wire with a quick disconnect plug on the end, and this will be the one that supplies power to the antenna motor. You will need to have the wiring diagram for your head unit. Hopefully, it will list a 'antenna hot' on the harness coming from the back of your head unit. Then it will be a matter of getting the correct plug to connect the antenna motor wire to the head unit wiring harness. If worse comes to worse, and you don't have the wiring diagram. Get a multimeter, and probe the wires coming out of your head unit. What you are looking for is one that has roughly 12v when the head unit is on, but nothing when the head unit is off. Hope this helps.

 

i did do that. but my problem is that there is about 2-3 antenna wire and i don't know which one to use. i'm not doing the wiring my brother is. and we do have the wire diagram that i got from lexus dealer

 

Hopefully you can match the wire colors to what is listed in the diagram and confirm their functions. Can't tell too much more without seeing the diagram, sorry.

 

I cant remember directly, but like many Toyotas, there is 2 wires that needs to energized for the power antenna relay in Toyotas.

Plug your factory radio BACK IN, hook up a meter, look for wires that show 12 volt with the RADIO ON ONLY, then hook up your remote leads to those wires (blue off aftermarket radio)
