please help
i bought this sub for dirt cheap:
Audiobahn AW1251T 800max with these specs
# 12" Dual 4 Ohms Natural Sound Subwoofer
# Power Handling:
* Peak: 800 watts
* RMS: 400 watts
# Impedance: Dual 4 ohms
# Non-Pressed, Non-Transfer Paper Cone
# PHAT Foam Surround
# 2" 4-layer ASV Voice Coil
# 45 oz. Strontium magnet structure
i ordered this amp, but i was looking at another one with more wattage and mixed up the two while ordering online:
# ORION Cobalt Series Monoblock Single-Channel Class A/B Car Amplifier
# RMS Power Rating:
* 4 ohms: 175 watts x 1 chan.
* 2 ohms: 250 watts x 1 chan.
# Max power output: 500 watts
# LED power indicators
# Selectable bass boost (0, 6, 12 dB at 44 Hz)
# Single channel operation
# Speaker-level inputs
# 1 Pair of Preamp RCA outputs
# Heavy duty aluminum alloy heatsink for optimal heat dissipation
# RCA level inputs
# Screw terminals
# Damping Factor: >150
# Variable low-pass filter (50-500 Hz, 12 dB/octave)
# CEA-2006 compliant amplifier
# Frequency response: 20-20,000 Hz
# Dimensions: 8-1/8"D x 11-9/16"W x 2-1/8"H
will i get enough power to the one sub or should i just try selling one or the other (either sell the amp or the sub) to match up the wattage correctly? please help, my late night ordering stupidity has set my audio systems plans on hault.

Are you not able to return it in exchange for the proper amp that you wanted? What kind of business wouldn't take back the unused product for an upgrade?
If you decide to use it...that should be enough power to run it, really.
