Default 2GS Door speakers

First off, I am a COMPLETE NOOB when it comes to the door speakers. I am looking into upgrading my stock speakers to something better. Could you guys help me out and give me some advice on what to do or what to get? I never really cared much about upgrading the speakers until my friend just gave me his JL 300/4 amp for helping him pay off some debts. I currently have a 12 inch JL W6 sub hooked up to a JL 500/1 amp. Help me out CL!!

I used infitiny kappa perfects 6.5" components, sound quality is excellent. I just modded the OEM enclosure to accomodate the much larger woofers and put the tweeters in the OEM location. on the rear doors I just cut out a spot for the tweeters and flush mounted them right on the door.

You can build a wooden baffle for it instead. That way you don't have to deal with resonance that's associated with plastic at certain frequency. I did that when I was impatient (couldn't stand the stock speakers). It worked but my lower end midrange and midbass was muddy. Upgraded to the wooden baffle sealed with non-hardening clay and the difference was night and day. Midbass became snappy and lower midrange became clear.
