Default SC400 factory sub/amp wiring help??

ok, i had this guy wire an aftermarket head unit in and whenever i turned up the volume on it the system just turned off. soo i got sick of it nd put the old head back in but when he re-wired the sub woofer, he did in it like a weird way by splicing it into one of the front speaker wires so now no subs, just speakers. if anyone has the wiring diagram for the head and OEM amp that would be a great help.

Is the factory system the Pioneer one or the Nakamichi?

sounds like he did not bypass the amps, that is why they turn off when you turn up the volume, they are going into safety.

Whoever did it has no clue what they are doing, The head unit turned off because it was 'clipping' and protecting it from frying, probably because he was trying to run a 10in sub full range tapped off the front speaker which was drawing too much current at too low ohm load for the head unit.

Ditch the stock head unit and put the aftermarket one back in it wired up the RIGHT way and you will be a lot happier. If you arent technical and dont want to attempt it stop being a cheap *** and take it somewhere that knows what they are doing (stereo shop) and not "some guy" maybe print out one of the links posted above and take it in so they will know exactly what you want done.
