Yup.. so here's another example of a double din metra dash installed into my SC. Installation is basically straight forward.

Before (never had anything to fill the gap lol):

I know it was hella dusty.

This is the small gap under that I was left with.

Overall, I like it a lot. Much better than before, haha.

It's been a long time since I've taken one of the SC's apart, but why don't you do it up a little custom and mold the patch panel to the kit and make it look like one piece? A little filler, some fiberglass, and some SEM texture, and you could make that look that much better. It looks good now, but it's a little extra step.
