Default System Shot?

Well heres the deal. I was driving with my tunes up pretty loud just jammin and then I hear a pop. All of a sudden the sound from the speakers is chopped it goes in and out very quickly so that the words cant be recognized. Im not sure if its the headunit thats shot or something else. I still have my regular unit on my 97 sc400. If anyone has had this happen or knows about it please chime in. Because if its blown gotta start shoping for a replacement. Thanks fellas

Sounds very similiar to a symptom of the Nakimichi amp being blown.

Start there.
