After all the online writeups about how great the Levinson system is in the LS430, I had to figure out why mine sounded like crap. It didn't take long. There's no sub. No sub at all. I suspect the dickweed I bought the car from fried it and never replaced it.
OK, so I'm gonna buy a new sub (anyone out there with an extra, please let me know)
Trouble is, I have no idea how it is installed since I can't see the old one. Could someone take a few photos of the factory installation so I can install mine?
Also, there are four wires. Four. Is this right? Seems like there should be two. Am I missing something?
OK, so I got a replacement subwoofer for my '01 LS430 but still have the wiring issue... The new speaker has a connector with red and black wires going to the voice coil, but the previous owner cut the car's wiring harness connector off. So all I have are 4 wires (Blue, Black, Yellow, Light Green).
So I need to know which two of the four wires go to the black on the speaker and which two of the four go to the red.
Can anyone help? Remember, this is Levinson. The wiring diagrams I've seen have different wiring depending on whether or not it's ML.
THANKS!
-jeff
