The ultimate crossover, processor & power supply part...
Hi guys!
This is for the die hard engineers out there.

Take a look at the graph on the left versus the right. Can you imagine these in a crossover?

That is some impressive stuff...although I hardly understands what they are describing.
Do you think if I take some pictures of my home amp's internal parts they can send me the correct parts that I can replace?
This may sound funny but I can solder desolder no problem (I built my own xover with good parts for my home speaker) but I just need someone to tell me to "replace this part with this".

Kaban,
Just be sure to have a good closeup of the parts. Use lots of light or take the pictures under direct sunlight. Their parts (Multicap) are EXPENSIVE! But I use those and Black Gate parts extensively in the Krell home player.
Which amp do you have? I've had to mod out my smaller Denon 2500. 5600 comes next when I get the time...and after I get all the car gear modded.

Cool they will actually do that. I'll make sure to use plenty of lights! Any pointers as to which parts I should start with in an amp?
I have a Pioneer VSX D510, it's a DTS / Dolby digital decoder amp pretty cheap only $500 so I can afford to blow it up np,
pretty good a/v performance and build quality. All it's interconnect ports (all Pioneer gear I think) are to the right and power cord is to far left.

Kaban,
They MIGHT do that. Send them an email first. I've taken apart a PDR99 CDR Pioneer Elite unit and everything is surface mounted. Small components and that makes modding difficult. Same thing with my DVD/LD player (DVL90), also a Pioneer Elite.
Start off with the preamp, the boards closest to the RCA jacks. Just be sure to take good CLEAR shots since the numbers get kinda hard to read.
