Haha, i've been thinking about this for so long as well. But i can't figure out anything. Are there any type of external volume control ***** that you can just swap into the OEM volume **** location?

I bought this for my CarPC thinking I would do that: http://store.griffintechnology.com/powermate-622

But in reality, while it is small on a desk, it is very large for a car - diameter is just over 2". Real estate that large is hard to come by.

On a side note. I have one for sale. Never used
