Hey all

I have a 97 es300. I'm installing an :

aftermarket HU -> factory amp -> factory speakers.

When I turn on the H/U I hear a low hummin/Static noise. It doesn't incraese in level if I turn the VOL up but it doesn't go away w/VOL down either.

Only when the unit is SHUT OFF does the hum/static go away. Any ideas??

My only plan to this would be installing this BHA1761 http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=239

at the output of the amp, the plugs that goes to the speakers, and wiring the wires from that harness adapter to the harness of the aftermarket HU

HU -> BHA1761 -> plugs that goes to speakers

would this help the static/resolve the whole issue?

Replied to your PM so check it out. As to the wire harness you want to use, look at this one instead, has RCA plugs already attached to hook right up to your new HU and integrate with the stock amp.

I am planning to get an aftermarket HU and use factory amp. I have a 99 ES300.

Here are some concerns:
-Would the HU turn on the OE amp? On the IS300, it doesn't since it use digital signal to turn on the amp.
-I will use Metra 70-8112 ( http://www.installer.com/item/displa...php?it=70-8112 ) to connect aftermarket HU to factory amp.
-Will the factory sub work?

Basically: HU >>> 70-8112 >>> factory harness (amp) >>> factory speakers.

Please let me if there is anything else I should be aware of (beside double DIN dash kit).
