Default New CD Player

Hey guys. Im sick of not having a cd player anymore. That 12 cd-changer is dead. It doesnt read my burned CD's. It doesnt read ANYTHING. It did a few times, and now all I get is this ERR. I know its common and I dont care. I want to hook up a cd player myself but dont know that much about it. So If I get just the deck, what exactly do I need to do to hook it up and will it hook up to my sub and all? Thats all. BTW its a sc300 model if that helps. thanks.

The easiest option is to swap out the cd changer in the trunk for a known working unit. There are several on eBay usually, so check there (or the classifieds section on here), and put a working changer in yourself.

However, you will likely get more bang for the buck by switching to an MP3 player-based system. Pick up an iPod or similar model, use the Line-In modification outlined here, and use an iPod in the cabin of the vehicle. This will work fine for you even if your existing cd changer gives you the ERR message.
