Default Navigation System Owners - I need your assistance

Just bought a 2002 GS300 with Navigation System. The system will not find this particular location. It will not give me the correct city to choose from.

Can someone please put this address into their system and see if it comes up correctly?
2185 Salem Rd
Conyers, GA 30013

Once Salem Rd is entered it will not give me a Conyers, Georgia city choice. I don't like that you don't have an option to enter the city manually.

Is this a Lexus DVD problem or just a problem with my particular car?

You can do a city search. Touch the address switch on the destination screen then hit the city switch then I think input city name.

I followed the manual which says to input number, then street, then choose a street name, then choose a city. Conyers, GA doesn't come up on the list. Salem Rd is a main street crossing I-20 in Conyers, GA. The Nav map shows it and names it, but it will not give me a Conyers city choice. Weird.

OK, I don't know if it's the same system but, see if this helps.

I have a 2003 SC430 which has the Gen 2/3 Nav system. I have Ver 6.1 map DVD (and clearly way too much time on my hands).

2185 Salem Rd
Conyers, GA

Doesn't work.

So, I worked backwards.

I chose "Conyers" as the city then typed in "Salem Rd" as the street

I got 4 choices..."Salem Rd", "Old Salem Rd.", "Salem Rd. SE" and "Salem Rd. NE"

If I choose "Salem Rd", I have to choose an address from 3100-3299...so that's why 2185 doesn't work.

If I chose "Salem Rd. SE", I can punch in 2185 and it finds it.

Looks like it's near the intersection of "Flat Shoals Rd SE"...wherever the heck that might be (I'm from Washington DC)

I don't know if that's the "Salem Rd" you're looking for. Sometimes the database is really weird about street names.

If your system works like mine, when you hit "Address" and it gives you the option to start typing in the house number, there's a "City" button on the right side. You hit that instead and you can work the address backwards, like I did.

Let me know if this helped at all or if I owe you 5 minutes of your life back for reading a useless post.

Default 7.1 nav upgrade

I have a DVD upgrade I bought and it will not for my nav system. It will work for you and probably has your address. It is the 7.1 version that is the most recent. It's for gen2/3 navigation that you have. I just want my money back for it, if it doesn't work for you I will refund it if you send it back to me. rnasah at comcast dot net.

The problem might be that the nav version you have don't have that address input and may need to be updated. Check what version is your map and is that address new or newer than your map. GL
