Default Heads up display.

Hello.

I was interested in getting a heads up display for my car. I have a 1992 Lexus Sc300. The unit I was looking at is this http://www.nippon-seiki.co.jp/defish.../vsdx_top.html. I would just be using it for the speed feature, so I wont have to keep looking down at my cluster to see how fast I am going.

Anyways, was just wanting to know if guys would recommend something like this?

those things are nice..but imo..i think they're too bulky for my taste..again..my taste may differ than yours, or anybody elses. i prefer a clean looking oem-ish look. if thats not what youre going for..then go for it! it is an interesting idea

Not for the sole reason of speed. On my 240 I actually used mine on track days, but if you are getting it so you don't have to look down, I'd be against it.

Depends. In the Corvette and LS430 with my seating/wheel position I can't see the top half of the speedo. In the LS i don't really care because I'm usually with the wife and kids or in traffic so it isn't an issue. In the Corvette, I'm usually alone and breaking the law so the HUD is very nice. If you could get an OEM look going I'd say go for it but that Defi unit looks hokey.
