99 SC300 Help with aftermarket headunit
Hey, guys. I have an eclipse double din headunit that I want to install with the factory amp. I purchased a toyota/lexus amplifier integration harness here. http://www.autotoys.com/x/catalog/TO...SS_p_1334.html
Now the problem is I cannot figure out where this plugs into and so far. Im thinking it was made for the older system in the earlier models of the SC.
1.) Has anyone used this and do you have any feedback about it?
2.) Any solutions without going with an aftermarket amp?
I have a pioneer amp ready to go if I cant figure out how to use my factory amp.
Thanks!

I bought that harness at Cuircuit City, I didn't even use it because it won't fit and the wiring is different.
Just hack the wiring and ghetto rig the speaker wires, just like Honda Civic wiring.

the harness will not work, if you had a 92 u could use a reg toy harness. u have to grab power ground ign power ant from the wiring at the back of the deck and the speakers u have to run 4 sets of wire to the pass side of the trunk and wire it to the aftermarket deck if you want ur stock sub to work u have to send power to ur stock sub amp and send low level signal to that amp by using some rca ends and tapping it
Been searching, but no luck yet. Does anyone have info on using the stock amp with an aftermarket head unit? I did see some related threads, regarding bypassing the stock amp and just wiring the speakers directly to an aftermarket amp.

I found some helpful documentation on the SC300 factory stereo harness

The car in question is a 99SC300 with Pioneer factory radio and a 6 disc CD changer. Neither sources above have the diagrams that completely match the harness on the back of the radio.
It would be much appreciated to get knowledge from those who have successfully used an aftermarket stereo with the factory amps on a 99SC300.
