Default Questions about stereo installation

Hello.

I just got a new stereo installed in my car (Alpine IVA- D900). I have a 1992 Lexus Sc300. Well the installation took about 4, and half hours. They had to rewire the whole car, and bypass the amp to install the stereo ( the sound system I had in there was the stock system that came with the car).

Ok, well after getting the stereo installed my speakers sound horrible, and the amp doesn’t even work anymore. I was wanting to know, if after getting a different stereo installed in the car would do this, and if I need to buy different speakers now? Could it of been bad wiring by them? Also, if I need to replace the whole system now. Any recommendations on what to get?
