on my 96 sc300, all of the "security fetures" work except the chirping sound. trunk release from FOB works, keyless entry locking/unlocking work, panic button sounds off the horn, but the chirp sound doesnt work when locking/unlocking. the alarm horn (on driver side strut mount) is there and plugged in. any ideas?

 

look under the dash, not sure of the SC but on the LS there is a little button that lets you enable/disable the chirp.

should be in your owners manual.

have you looked under your steering/dash area and see this **** (to adjust the chirp volume)... turn it clockwise, it might have been turned all the way off

 

i dont see a ****. any pictures or ore specific location. I pulled off the bottom panel (where the obd conector is) to get a better look, and I dont see anything. Also, my lights dont flash either when i "chirp" the alarm.

 

anyone, please?
