You should perhaps recess the wooden spacer by another 1", so that you can fit a 12" sub. sure some of the cone would be covered.. but it shouldn't really matter in terms of output. The 13Ov.2 would be much nicer to have in the rear deck
Ben, I think he's talking about a spacer to mount a 12" sub in the deck. I'm in the middle of bugging my wife to let me do this with our ES-350.
This is my dream setup, and I'm exploring doing it myself:....Two IDMAX 12s in the rear deck. I think one will be sufficient for me, right in the center.
Those subs are overkill for an IB. You are just wasting all of the motor strength. The ED Kv.2 series has more than enough BL to push the cone to xmax.
