Default NAV problems

Lately my NAV has been going bonkers. It used to just be off by a few hundred feet or something at most, but lately its been worse. Sometimes, itll be off so much, it will be on the other side of the state. my windows have been tinted for awhile now and the problem started much later, but recently got much worse. somtimes it lasts only a couple hours, somtimes a few days.

first of all, does anyone know what the problem is?

second, is there a way to reset the map to get it right? turning off the car does not work.

to reset the unit you could try disconnecting the battery for around 30 minutes to let it do a full reset
