Default kenwood ddx8017 in lexus gs300

hey guys, i got a Kenwood ddx8017 double din motorized deck. i see on the stats that it has usb ports, like somewhere u can plug in an external storage device. but i cant find anywhere in the manuals where it talks about. anyone know anything about these? i would like to be able to use it. thanks!

it should be in the back . its not a direct connection.

what do you mean by it isnt a direct connection? do i have to buy a plug in or something?

i think he means its not accessible without pulling out the deck. maybe you attach whatever USB you're trying to hook up prior to installation and leave it that way?

it kind of defeats the convenience of usb tho doesnt it?

i ment there isnt a front port. there are 2 USB cable attached to the rear of the HU.

you can get usb extenders at best buy, circuit city or any store like that and rout one into your glove box do whatever storage devise your going to use can be removed easily but what kietlander posted is exactly right with a majority of head units with usb connections

please give us a review on the HU. im wondering how the USB works. is there a limit on how much the HU will read? how fast does it load everytime u start up. anything along those lines.
