instead of mounting a box up in the rear deck, just do some free air subs and let them chill up there.
or do an infinite baffle with the trunk...

WOW my head is spinning reading all these posts!! You are some tech savvy people!!! Not to sound elementary but I'm wondering what my best options are if I'm interested in simply swapping out my oem 8" sub without adding or changing my factory amp...I have a 99 SC with the Nakamichi option... honestly im quite impressed with the system the way it is...when i got the car 6yrs ago i did replace the door and back dash speakers with 6 1/2 all around because they were dry rotted...I just don't want to over work my delicate amp...I'm also down to improve if I can... any suggestions?
