sorry for the leave of absence guys, ive been busy as hell lately and just havent had the time to put into my electronics stuff.
il get those pinouts to you asa i can
il try ot make up a wiring diagram in the next week or so as well and post it up.
no, unless u feel like reverse engineering the entire lex/toy radio system from the inside-out.
ehh, i could PROBABLY figure this out, but it wouldnt be cheap, id hafta request a factor harness repair kit from toyota. but if your REALLY interested i could prolly pull one together.
yes, power and ground is JUST for coil activation, a little note, use constant +12v, not switched.
no idea, never used the product
Puredrifter, could you post the pinouts for the 99 SC4 with Nak?
It's much easier to get to the harness at the amp/cd changer stack in the trunk than to pull the console trim and get to the back of the head unit, so colors and pin numbers at the cd or the amp would be great.
I know making the connection in the trunk means a longer signal run from the mp3 player in the center console, but it's easy to pull power and shielded audio cable to the trunk.

dude, you're awesome! no rush though, get your work/study done first
and frys upped their prices on the SPDT relay...it was 6bucks each! Of course, being the cheapass I am, I didn't buy them
I've heard that Soundgates' SDStoyo does work, but its like 90bucks not including the cable to the iPod.

Hi Puredrifter
Have been reading this topic with great interest, so I went out and started pulling my car apart.
As Vstyle444 has a similar car I had a copy of his pin/colour codes but alas they don't match.
My car is a 2001 MY02 GS300 with sat nav, the 2001 model in Australia didn't have the Satnav but the 2002 does, my car was a change over model
Have attached pic of what I have, any chance of figuring it out for me.
Pin 5 at changer is perm 12V
Pin 10 " " " 12V accessories
Cheers

This is interesting as all sin... I might have to print this out for my buddy that's a wiring guru and get him to wire this up. I can understand the basics of what's going on, and the pictures DEFINITELY help, but I'm a doofus when it comes to voltage and electronic "hacking." Knowing me, I would set up the system in such a way that it would fry everything in my car...
Excellent post!
