I'm selling my Vais and i want to make sure. I have a 2003 Lexus GS300. Will my unit and cables work in lets say a RX or an LS or an SC of the same year? Or does Vais use the same brain and the cables customized for each car? If you have NAV, do the cables change again or is it basically the same cable for every car? Thanks.

I know if you are going with an aftermarket stereo, they say just go to the stereo shop and buy the radio plugs for a Toyota vehicle. I am wondering if it is the same with the Vais plugs?

 

lexus changed radio amp connctors every year from 2005 to 2007 so every model would need a different fit kit. usually they change amp connectors every 5 to 7 years but with all the changes in audio systems lately they have changed the connectors every year. 2005 amps 16 and 25 pin connctors, 2006 20 and 24 pin amp connectors. 2007 6 and 10 pin and 20 pin and 12 pin.
