I sure could use some help. I have changed out the stock speakers with dyne's and used a 6-chanel zapco amp, but am using the stock head unit. I was told the only solution was a HI-LO converter off the front speaker signals. I have a '98 GS4 with Nav/Pioneer setup. It just doesn't sould clean; poor separation. I heard that this head unit can be modified to get RCA outputs.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Gene ( GOOD name!! ) - What brand LLC's R U using? I had the same simple upgrade originally using Stinger LLC's & the sound was much inproved ( RF amps & Diamond Audio HEX components ). Separation & balance was excellent considering the weak link of the Pioneer head unit. Don't have the factory head or I'd tear it apart to see how hard it'd be to solder in true RCA's but the LLC's ( if they're of good quality ) should do the trick. Stupid question & I don't mean to insult your install skills but U did bypass the factory amp? U'd be surprised at how many times I've found factory & aftermarket amps hooked up to the same speakers.
