Marine stuff is generally the same items as car audio but with slightly different materials and connectors that are more resistant to corrosion.

All components are designed using robust materials able to withstand the toughest ocean environments: marine-grade stainless-steel fasteners, powder-coated aluminum amplifier chassis, solid-brass connectors, UV-resistant Centrex™ polymer speaker baskets, and moisture-proof driver diaphragms.

yes. will work fine, though if you are wanting to use the stock amplifier with it, im not sure if it will handle a 4 ohm load.

I think the more pointed question you should ask is 'will it fit' ... Its just like any other subwoofer just with different materials and tolerances.

I don't know the answer to that question, sorry.

i am going to be using the 5th channel of my v12 Alpine amp with it.
Dave, if its a 10inch as stated, then it should fit with some modification/adjustments just as any other a/market 10inch sub would require. Or are you saying this one would require a different method of fitting in the stock sub hole compared to the JL10ib4 or the kicker c10 which most have incorporated in the stock hole?
please advise.
thanks
BTW if this is very similar to the discontinued infamous JL10ib4, why are people kind of always in search of the discontinued one? is there a comparable difference?

The only problem you might run into is making sure the basket on the sub clears everything back there in the trunk and that the rear deck supports the new weight of that subwoofer. Whether it works or not, you should probably look into some form of sound deadning for the deck and adjacent panels. Let me know if this work, because the same idea popped in my head a few weeks ago, but I didn't know of an low power free-air subs. Keep in touch on this.
