I am thinking about getting 2 12"" Xplod XS-L123P5B in my GS300. Are these good subs? I dont need any CRAZY bass, just something nice to show up some people sometimes.
Also, which amp should i go with? The speakers need 380W Each, so I was thinking about going with one 1000W Amp?

Nothing like having garbage XPLOD in your face when the 1000W amp melts the voice coils. Sony is not a good speaker manufacturer.
There are much better choices. You can even check ebay for some deals. Also check out woofersetc.com, good selection.
Sony Xplods are junk man sorry. You can always gor with Rockford Fosgate Phase 1 subwoofers are even a pair of Kicker Comps. They cost a little more but they are worth it.
= Sex, little expensive but will be well worth it. If u want all around god response throw it into a 1.5 cft3 sealed box, or if you want it to get a loud port it (2.5cft3 tuned to 28-32hz) would sound great.
Well, in Sony's defence (because they need as much as they can get) their speakers are made in the same factory as many other speakers. Unfortunately their design is very poor because most of their R&D money goes into marketing instead. Still, Sony does suck monkey sack.
Anyways, I'm a JL fan as long as its anything better than a W3. The W6 and W7 are both great subs as long as you aren't paying full retail.
