Default speaker setup

In the midst of installing new speakers, i have been so confused as to whether to go with 6.5"s and build custom baffles or not.
But i would really love not to go through with that if i can.
i found a set of Polk Audio 4"component speakers and a set of 4"Polk Audio coaxial speakers.
what do you guys think about this for the front and rear. it should be plug and play which is my secondary goal. primary goal goal of course being improved sound.
Here are the links to the Polk speakers. i think they are nice.

what does anybody have to say?

Go for the custom baffle setup. Better bass response.

Im running Diamond Audio D6 4.5" components front and rear.. and it sounds pretty good so far.. im only half way into the install, woofers installed, getting ready to put in the tweeters and crossovers.. The 4.5" woofers fit into the stock baffles perfectly, with very slight trimming. When i finish the install, ill post up about it... good luck..

6.5 > 4

better response, better sound, louder, and able to handle more power.

what would be the best material to make custom baffles out of? Is there a person/place that would sell baffles for front and rear doors that will fit 6.5inch speakers for an 01 gs430?

best material would be MDF, surrounded by a layer of sound deadening material....dynamat, second skin, or whatever is your sound deadening drug of choice.
