I went to Gold Star originally because I'd heard nothing but GOOD things about them. I heard they did good work and charged reasonable prices.
Looks like people either love them or hate them.
I had them install an alarm in my Mustang GT convertible, and an alarm and stereo in my wife's Z3. They did good work at reasonable prices each time. The guy I dealt with was Steve, I think he's the assistant manager or something.
Anyway, that's my experience. YMMV.
