Default Bluetooth pairing

Hi to all. I'm new to the forum and have just bought my third Lexus. It's an 05 LS430 Ultra. My problem is that my Treo 650 Palm will pair to the car, however the car doesn't. The screen on the Nav unit never changes to indicate it paired. If I try to use the connection, it tells me to check the phone. My service is Verizon if that makes a difference. Anyone know of a fix?

Try making a phone call from the handset right after pairing. I'm not sure if it will work for the Treo but I seem to recall reading that some handsets have that problem and won't actually connect the phone to the vehicle unless you do this workaround.
