Hey, I just picked up a 92 SC300 a few weeks ago and am loving it. Right now I am trying to put my subs and amp in that I had in my other car. The problem I ran into is finding a hole in the firewall. I've run power wires in many cars before and never had a problem finding one. I guess this car is different. I pulled up the carpet on the passenger side and removed the plastic cover. I found the ECU and a lot of different wiring harnesses but can't get to any of the holes they run through. Is the only way to get to these holes to remove all of these harnesses under the glove box? I found a couple of places on the driver's side that I thought I could run some wires through but I can't figure out how to get to them behind the engine. There is something just to the left of the brake pedal (mine's an automatic). I don't know if it is usable or not it's kind of oval shaped and you have to pull up some padding to get to it.
I searched also but never came up with any straight answers on which hole is the easiest to use.
Check out the "Stereo/audio" part of the forums.
I think I saw something in there awhile back.
Man, I forgot all about that part of the forum. I was just searching in the SC300/400 forums. Well I searched and found out exactly how to do it. If anybody else is in the same position I was in, check out this thread:
