did you buy the eclipse plugs? if you have those, its just plug and play with your factory speakers and amp.

Default hey

i have never heard of any eclipse plugs that allow plug and play with the lexus factory speakers and amp.
just got my eclipse and was hoping to get it installed by next week.(my installer would be splicing and etc)
but if there is a plug and play plug for eclipse to lexus, please let us know.
where can i get it from?
any pics?

I have a 2494 (model right under the 5435) and I remember going through a lot of back and forth during the install. They thought they had a plug and play adapter that would work for easy installation, but that wasn't the case. We ended up having to hardwire and splice everything to make it work...and I got it to work with the factory speakers, but the sub was rendered useless. I was told I need to get a new amp or amp/sub combo to fix that.

The explanation I got was that "it's a Lexus...it's not as easy to install the unit on this car vs. others." A friend of mine had the same unit in a Maxima and it was all plug and play. So to my knowledge, the part you are looking for does not exist, at least for a GS300. I don't know if it is any different for the SC400.

If someone does know of this piece that makes for an easy install...please share...

Default hey

thats what i thought too.
but my installer looked at it and said he would be able to hook the factory speakers, amp and sub to the eclipse.
am just waiting on my back up camera so we can do it all at once.
hopefully it should arrive this week and installation will be done next week.i will update the thread if it is possible
