I wish to purchase a 2nd master key. I see a few listings on eBay but I'm not sure if there is a difference between a normal key (valet) and master key. I see the seller MyKeyless seems to offer a master key, or is it just a valet key? When I searched the forums here, a lot of people seemed to think one had to pay nearly $150 or more for a true master key.

Also, how much should I expect to pay for a locksmith to cut the key?

 

i was shootin the stuff with a service guy at the dealer and he suggested that i buy a new ML amp somewhere else (they quoted me 2,000). I said i'm sure i can find one on ebay, he said be careful cause he had a guy bring in a key he bought on there and they cut it for him, then he went to try and use it and what it was was someone had taken a used key and traded out the metal stub with a new one and hot glued it into place. The metal stub after it was cut didn't fit and it couldn't be programmed.
